Siobhan Cox-Carlos is an artist from the West of Ireland. She was born in and lives outside Strokestown, Co. Roscommon, where she also works from her studio home and gallery. She is an honours Degree graduate in Fine Art from the Limerick College of Art & Design (June 2004).
She has been the recipient of a number of grants from her local Arts Office and was awarded a residency for the Tyrone Guthrie Centre by Roscommon County Council in 2014.
She has had a number of residencies in the Tyrone Guthrie Centre and at Cill Riallaig, Co. Kerry and also 3 months in the Las Olas Art Centre, Fort Lauderdale where she also exhibited her degree show in 2004. Siobhan was awarded a % for Art Scheme with the National Cancer Centres in Galway and Cork. Siobhan has been an invited artist at many shows including the Central Bank Summer Show in Dublin and Art Fairs in the R.D.S., Boyle Arts Festival and solo shows in Sol Art Gallery, Dublin and Solas Art Gallery, Ballinamore. She has exhibited her work in juried shows in Florida.
Her work is represented in private collections in Ireland, Europe, America, Bermuda, Mexico and Australia. It is also represented in the OPW State Art Collection, Roscommon County Council Civic Collection National Cancer Screen Service (for which I was awarded a % for Art Scheme in 2010), Holles Street National Maternity Hospital, Dublin and the Dept. of an Taoisech.
In her spare time Siobhan likes to salsa, hike, golf, read and enjoys a glass of wine and a chat with friends, not all at the one time!
